The Jewish Education Project’s Resources for Teaching Sigd and Exploring Ethiopian Jewry brings together lesson plans, videos, songs, recipes and interactive activities. The collection includes opportunities to explore the traditions of Beta Israel, hear Ethiopian Jewish voices and introduce students to the history and significance of Sigd.
At JENA, we encourage educators to bring the diversity of Jewish life into everyday learning. Whether you are planning a classroom lesson, an informal activity or a deeper exploration of Jewish communities, this collection is a useful place to begin. Consider choosing one resource to spark curiosity and broaden your students’ understanding of the Jewish story we share.
